To commemorate the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death, the RIT Cary Graphic Arts Collection hosted events around the Rochester Institute of Technology campus.
Unique designs were needed to promote the event—something that was modern and had a stylistic nod to both analog printing and the legacy of Shakespeare. Prints of Shakespeare's works were created using mechanical presses which were then used alongside letterpress tools and the Shakespeare in Fine Press logo. Together these pieces linked these two ideas into one succinct composition.
